According to Jacksonville police, a trucker was shot to death early this morning at 6:30am.  The victim was identified as Marty Deane Coffey of the 542200 block Lem Turner Road in Callahan.  He was 50 years old.  

The suspect fired multiple shots and then fled in a small white car.  

No information has been revealed on the suspect, and the authorities do not know the gender, race, age, etc.  If you have any information, please contact the Jacksonville Police.  

The trucking company the victim worked for was Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc.  They released the following statement on their Facebook page this afternoon:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family as well.... and we hope the murderer is brought to swift justice.
